The B’nai Tikvah Religious School is responsive to the needs
of our families by offering a one day a week program on
Tuesday afternoons. We recognize that our students and
their families need to make a powerful connection with their
cultural and historical roots. We incorporate hands-on
activities - from Israeli dance, art, drama and Jewish
cooking, to re-enacting life cycle events, and celebrating
holidays and Shabbat together. |

Beginning to Intermediate Hebrew Pre-B'nai Mitzvah Hebrew This year, the 6th & 7th graders focus on the Kabbalat Shabbat – Friday Evening Service as well as specific pieces of the Shabbat Morning Service. Learning the liturgical melodies, tracking and decoding prayer material is key to understanding and participating as adult Jews during synagogue services. The students also become familiar with reading Torah calligraphy this year. Graduation of the 7th graders includes written essays and preparation for leading the Shabbat graduation service. |
